The Sound Behind the Music

A little about the journey so far

This music scene/band blossomed into a serious musical collective of all backgrounds jamming once a week at an undisclosed location in Lambertville, NJ. Their musical influences are reflected in their originals and cover song selection. The Shackers do not limit themselves to one genre or style of music, instead they deliver an innovative interpretation of jam band, danceable rock, soul and blues, and post-punk with some well written original songs.

When The Shackers perform, the event is full of diversity in song and musicianship. They feature a lineup with two drummers, two guitars, bass, keyboards, and singers along with an experienced sound manager who jumps on keys to play a few songs. Members have been anointed with aliases as a result of “Being Shacked”. TMac, Sticks, Retro Rob, and Johnny Keys are just a few (some members use their real name for some reason).

They’ve played The Rivers Edge Music Festival, Lambertville Station, Shad Fest (annual event), American Legion, The Elks, Fran’s Pub, Havana’s Nite Club, the Lambertville Halloween Night Street Party (annual event), along with numerous other venues, private events, and multiple block parties.
